Texas REALTOR® Boards: Directory, Dues & MLS Fees

Which Association/Board of REALTORS® serves every Texas county, what each one charges to join and use its MLS, and how membership works — one reference, verified from the boards' own schedules.

To use the term REALTOR® and get MLS access in Texas, agents join a local Association or Board of REALTORS® for each market where they practice, in addition to state (Texas REALTORS®) and national (NAR) membership. RaiderX is an MLS-participating brokerage with broker membership at eight Texas boards — SABOR, HAR, MetroTex, ABoR, Greater McAllen, Lubbock, Permian Basin, GEPAR — and sponsored agents join one of those (marked below). Every board page lists the published dues, application, MLS and key fees for agents, brokers and offices, with the source and the date we verified it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to join a local REALTOR® board?

Yes. To use the term REALTOR®, access MLS listing data, and use standardized forms in most Texas markets, you need membership in the local Association/Board of REALTORS® that serves the county where you practice — in addition to your state and national REALTOR® membership.

How much do Texas REALTOR® boards charge?

Every primary member pays $358 a year in Texas REALTORS® and NAR dues through the local board, plus the board's own dues, a one-time application fee, an MLS subscription and a lockbox key. See the dues & MLS fee comparison for every board's published figures.

Can I join more than one local board?

Yes. If you regularly work in multiple counties served by different boards, many Texas agents hold membership (and pay dues) in more than one local board so they can access each board's MLS and serve clients across markets.

What if my county doesn't have its own local board?

Some rural Texas counties are not served by a dedicated local board — those are typically served directly by “Texas REALTORS® Direct,” the state association's direct-membership option. Agents in those counties usually hold Texas REALTORS® Direct membership or join a nearby board that covers their market; under RaiderX, agents join one of its eight member boards.

Which boards can I join as a RaiderX-sponsored agent?

RaiderX holds broker membership at eight Texas boards, and sponsored agents join one or more of those: San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR), Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR), MetroTex Association of REALTORS® (Dallas–Fort Worth), Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR), Greater McAllen Association of REALTORS® (South Texas), Lubbock Association of REALTORS®, Permian Basin Board of REALTORS®, and Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS® (GEPAR). Between them they cover the state. RaiderX does not join any other association unless the agent agrees to bear that membership expense. MLS access, Supra/eKEY key services, dues, and membership status are handled by the board itself, not by RaiderX.

What's the difference between a REALTOR® board and an MLS?

A local Association/Board of REALTORS® is the membership organization for real estate professionals in an area; the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) is the shared database of property listings. Most local boards operate or partner with an MLS, so board membership is usually how agents get MLS access. RaiderX is an MLS-participating brokerage.

We'll Confirm Your Board During Onboarding
