TXR 1933 — Condominium Conversion Addendum

This addendum is attached to the New Residential Condominium Contract (TXR 1608 or 1609) when the condominium property is a conversion building -- a building previously used for a non-condominium purpose (e.g., apartments converted to condos) as defined by Section 82.003 of the Texas Property Code.

The TXR 1933 form is organized into the following sections:

  1. Header
    Identifies the addendum as an attachment to the new residential condominium contract and identifies the property.
  2. Seller's Disclosure Notice Pursuant to Section 5.008, Property Code
    Handles the seller's disclosure notice for conversion buildings. If Buyer hasn't received the notice, Seller must deliver it within a specified number of days, and Buyer has a 7-day termination right after receipt.
  3. Seller's Disclosure of Lead-Based Paint and Lead-Based Paint Hazards
    Addresses federal lead-based paint disclosure requirements for pre-1978 buildings.
  4. Signatures and Exemption Note
    Execution block and detailed note about when Section 5.008 disclosure requirements do not apply.
