Form Outline

The TXR 1929 form is organized into the following sections:

  1. Consumer Authorization and Consent
The consumer authorizes a specific party to obtain one credit report per named agency, understanding it will be used to evaluate creditworthiness and related factors as permitted by the FCRA.
  2. Authorization to Discuss Report
Permits all parties involved in the real estate transaction (owners, landlords, lenders, brokers) to share and discuss the consumer report information with each other. Pre-printed — no blanks.
  3. Restrictions on Sharing with Consumer
Clarifies that the authorized party cannot share the report or its specific contents with the consumer. The consumer must request their own copy directly from the reporting agency. Pre-printed — no blanks.
  4. Release of Liability and Expiration
Contains a liability release for the authorized party and establishes an expiration date for the authorization. Copies of the signed form are valid as originals.
  5. Consumer Signatures and Information
Two-column consumer block (Consumer 1 on the left, Consumer 2 on the right): Signature, Printed Name, Soc. Sec. No. and Date on one rule, Current Address with City / State / Zip, and Prior Address with City / State / Zip. Signature and Date are placed as e-sign tabs when the form is sent; the Social Security number is the consumer's own to provide.
